The Canon PowerShot SX10 IS Digital Camera is a compact point-and-shoot camera body that has a modern-looking and elegant form. It features an incredible 20x wide-angle optical zoom lens that is further enhanced with Canon's acclaimed optical image stabilization, UD glass, and aspheric elements to effectively suppress distortion and chromatic aberration. • Optical Image Stabilizer: Canon's lens shift-type optical image stabilizer counteracts the camera shake caused by slight hand movements. Vibration sensors detect the angle and speed of movement and send this information to a processor, allowing the camera to compensate. This adds stability to hand-held, telephoto or moving shots and enables shooting at shutter speeds of up to three stops slower than typical with no noticeable increase in image blur.

• DIGIC 4 Processor: Delivering fast, responsive camera performance and superb image rendering, the DIGIC 4 processor also drives Canon's landmark Face Detection technology while advanced image processing algorithms deliver superb image detail and color reproduction with accurate white balance. Furthermore, the processor incorporates iSAPS scene-recognition technology using an internal database of thousands of different photos to improve focus speed and accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.

• Advanced Face Detection System: Canon's Face Detection system automatically detects up to 35 faces within a frame before adjusting focus, exposure, flash and white balance to ensure optimal results, It is also able to determine which faces are intended to be the subject, instantly reverting to the 9-point AiAF system if no face is the primary subject. • VGA Movie Recording with MovieSnap Feature: The camera's movie functions include 30 fps VGA recording with sound, and can playback onto a PC or a TV via the integrated AV Out connection. You can also shoot full-motion movies at QVGA (320 x240) that are well suited to PC playback or for email. The MovieSnap feature allows you to capture still shots while in the middle of shooting a movie.
